Nice stuff. Can't wait to see them for real.

Notice the themes that reiterate Purl's toughness challenge:

"Are You Ready"

They're really trying to instill the grit that carried the Bucs through the high point of the season last year.

Boyd’s lefty stroke is smoooooth. Feel a lot better about 3 point shooting this year with him and Good.

More excited for this year's team than I did last year.

RE: 2018-19 Roster
In the video the smallest guy on the team, Patrick Good, is the most impressive guy in the weight room. As impressive as the changes for Bo, Mladen and Jeromy are, I think Good is most striking. He has made himself into one buff dude! His work ethic must be off the scale.

155 pound Daivien, take note.

Tennessee Wesleyan walk on Tre Tiller might be a long shot for playing time in a crowded field of guards, but he certainly fits in physically. I think that's him slashing to the hoop for a left handed slam at 0:50 of the video. He's listed as 6-3 185, but was listed as 6-5 185 at Wesleyan. Either way, he's a good sized guard with great athleticism.

Which brings up a point about Forbes - he likes an honest roster. You often see a player drop in listed height or weight when they join the Bucs: Kevon Tucker was listed as a 6-4 200 freshman two years ago at Wofford. Now he's a 6-3 200 junior for the Bucs. Somehow I don't think that he's actually smaller. Octavion shrunk from 210 as a JUCO to 195. And now Tiller loses 2 inches. When Forbes lists someone as bigger, you can bet that it's an honest reading.

Unlike say Bob Hoffman, where eight (8) signees gained 1-3 inches this year on inking with Mercer. No one listed smaller. Maciej Bender was 6-10 in his freshmen and sophomore years at WVU - now he's listed as 7-0. Similar stuff happens with Mike Young at Wofford as in the case of Tucker.

The video is a tantalizing little glimpse. Hope that an open practice is coming soon.

RE: 2018-19 Roster
Yes, Poster - great info on that link. Here are some very bold Forbes quotes cited therein:

Jeromy is one of the most skilled guys I have ever coached at any level at his position. He can really handle the ball and he’s a really good passer, and very unselfish and rebounds it. He’s not a great scorer, but can score around the basket but he knows his limitations and his role.” That's a hell of a statement from a guy with Forbes' experience.

The player that had the best summer is Bo Hodges,” Forbes said. “Bo had to play inside a lot last year because of Jeromy’s injury, but he’ll play out on the perimeter this year, and he shot over 50% from three during the summer and he’s really expanded his game and he looks like a guy that will contend for all-league honors this year.

Re Pun Tisdale “Once I got to know him, his character is off the charts. He’s a tremendous person and leader, he wants to win and knows how to play. He had an injury this summer, which caused him to miss most of the summer, but he’s back and playing and we’re looking for big things out of him.” It puts Tisdale up with the key players worth special mention by Forbes.

The Bucs could be 2 deep with quality this year at pretty much every position.

Yes, pace Preacher Purl: that's if they show the "GrittyGrimeyToughTogether" spirit that the coaches are looking for.

And they'll still get very tough competition from UNCG and Wofford.
