Kindly post where I stated that date exactly. You’ve been called a liar, and you can’t prove anything else.

Stated before that I used the term six months from now as a +/- 3 months. Later listed a specific drop dead date of July 1st 2018.

No it doesn't. You need scholarships. Minimum of 200. If anything, this further shows that Idaho will not be playing FBS anytime soon.

It is easy to add scholarships. Add women’s lax with forty gals paying out state tuition with only 12 rides apportioned when FBS is reannoumced. The MPSF badly needs more women’s teams. So much more cost effective than softball or w soccer for Idaho.

Suspect Montana and Mont St will do the same thing.

UND would do well to clue Idaho in on the "Great Northern" plan....

Long sUspected that when the WAC broke up there was an FBS plan, but FBS didn’t make sense until it was closer to 2025 when the CFP will be revised. The rules were changed to allow a past FBS conference to once again make FBS invites. The whole of the WAC and Big Sky met in different rounds taking months. Idaho didn’t want to move down, but no other school would move up yet, so they made the prudent financial choice. The Montanas didn’t want any part of Texas, and Idaho had to follow them.

Idaho deciding to part with the WAC had more to do with aligning itself with the Montana’s and Dakotas rather to attach itself to NMSU. NMSU still has an FBS plan with the Big Sky California schools and some Southland moveups.

Our school President is literally alerting the media to the fact that Idaho doesn't even plan to try to be competitive anymore (stellar strategy for attracting donations for our stalled-out new basketball arena, BTW).

We're not in the Big Sky because of any kind of strategic realignment. We're in the Big Sky because it's the conference for western schools that don't want to try. I'm sorry. I wish your world was the real one.

I’m going to predict that their WILL NOT be a Big Northern announcement by July 1st.

How is soccer, which is widely competed in the area, and allows 14 scholarships, and minimal equipment less cost effective than Lacrosse, which only allows 12 scholarships, and only one team within a day's drive, plus requires expensive equipment?

Imo Idaho State should've never become a DI school. Had they stayed at DII maybe the State of Idaho would've been able to support UI as the general flagship and athletic program of the panhandle, Boise as the urban school. The Vandals at one point in the nineties won nine of the previous ten against the Broncos and went to the playoffs in nine of ten, but once they moved up and weren't given/didn't elevate their resources to get out of the Kibbie Dome and fund them to keep a decent football program they were doomed.

ISU was the dominant basketball program in the region in the late 50s and also in the mid 70s. Vandals had one brief run in the 80s and their FBS football sucked, long before BSU and ISU were factors. The state did support them as the flagship until Boise and ISU emerged. Face it, their location does not lend itself to a decent football program. Never has, never will. They got kicked out of the worst FBS conference.

Ahem. We beat them 12 times in a row, then 14 out of 15. Then BSU won 12 in a row and quit playing us.

I wouldn't ordinarily correct stuff like this, but it's all I have left.
