Just kinda sad honestly. Had so much potential to be a big part moving forward.

LOL!!! Guess Louisville "backed off."
Dude had a chance to play on a strong CUSA team and instead is sitting out a year and playing 3 at UNCG. Im guessing he will do just fine in the Southern conference.

They return everyone except for their second leading scorer. They add a 6'9 transfer from Wichita State and a 4 star big that will be an incoming freshman. They made the NCAA a tournament last year and will be an exciting team to watch next year.

Seriously, people are laughing at UNCG and they were better than us last year.

Hey they were 27-8 and played in the NCAA Tournament last year. Seems like a fine landing place for him to me. Sorry it didn't work out for him here but if he wasn't happy, can't blame him for moving on.

Based on what, winning a lesser conference?
Maybe Miller finally figured things out after 7 years of coaching and will elevate the program, but they had the best year in history and still weren't on our level.

They certainly gave Gonzaga all they could handle.

They went to the NCAAs, we didn’t even make the NIT. I don’t think there’s any question as to which had a better season last year. ODU has a better program and history, but UNCG is a great place for MHJ to land and he probably has a better shot at the big dance next year now too.

That's all well and good but who cares if they go to the dance when he's redshirting?

So, are teams in the MEAC better because someone has to win that conference? Where would UNC-G finish in CUSA? 5th...maybe?
If what he wants is an NCAA tourney at a low major; sobeit. But, getting to the tourney from a low major conference doesn't mean you are a better team.

They have a ton of momentum now. They just signed a 4 star center and got a transfer from Wichita State. They return the best player in the conference. They are going to be a special team next year.

Any irony that he's sitting a year (red shirting) when he was unwilling to do so as a true freshman? Best of luck to him in his future endeavors, but I think if he had been patient here, his potential for growth would have been higher.

You are all shaming him for committing to a 13 seed from last season? They lost to Gonzaga by 4.... interesting that you all are shaming him for his decision. Just because he didn't commit to a name brand, yet he still has a better chance at the tournament and "exposure" than he would here at ODU. Wake the hell up...
You know what they say, a 13 seed is better than a 0 seed. Or an NIT seed. Or a Vegas8 seed.

Many on here have no clue what the actual perception of ODU basketball is at this point.

Oh, the vicious cycle of college hoops. UNC Greensboro will tear it up this year. Guarantee you the coach leaves in the next two years. Thus, more transfers in and out of the program. So on and so forth.... Good Luck to Michael Hueit.
