One of my all-time favorite UC videos ever put together. In a couple years Nick is going to have do a Part 2.

Those years were the most fun I've ever had as a UC fan. Never in my wildest dreams did I envision going to the Orange Bowl and the Sugar Bowl to watch my favorite team (and alma mater) play. I would love for UC football to get back to winning.

I witnessed firsthand the lowest years (Dave Currey - in my opinion), and the greatest years - BK.

I had Dave Curry and Tony Yates when I was a student. Kids today have no idea how good they have it (said in my grumpy old man voice).

One of my all time favorite videos too. I attended more than a few of those games while in highschool and college. So much fun.

It's not over. Invest. Attend. Cheer.

This football season can't get here soon enough.

I still think the Mauk to Barnett pass against WVU in 2007 from the overhead shot/wire cam is my favorite individual highlight for UC football (over the Pitt game), no idea why. Not even on this video...

Not sure why, but that 2007 year doesn't get enough love from our fan base. That was a good team, and as much as I loved Pike and Collaros for my money neither had as great as of a year as Ben Mauk did in 2007. Had he been granted another year of eligibility like was hoped he would have owned a bunch of UC passing records.

What a great shot of the touchdown.
Seemed like Mauk and the WVU lineman were celebrating together.
Would be great to have someone post up that highlight.

I'd say my favorite single play was Mauk to Celek vs Rutgers, and Celek running through everyone while getting some good blocks from Ben Guigduli.

2007 and going to my first UC Bowl even if we got screwed out of Belk and had to settle for PJB. Then Orange, then Sugar, Liberty, Belk, Belk and then Grandpa **** the bed.

Davila to Celek

After 2006 it was so obvious to me this program was on the verge of something special. That 2006 was so young, and played so many top caliber teams close to the 4th quarter (then completed the win against Rutgers). I think I spent every penny of my early/mid 20s disposable income on UC football and various trips. Went to 12 of 14 games in 2008 (missed UConn and Hawaii). Went to 12 of 13 in 2009 (missed Oregon State). Worth every penny too.

Ben Mauk was fantastic. I saw him 2-3 times a year in high school, and was hoping beyond hope UC would somehow get him to go to college here. Was great when he transferred here.

Pretty amazing in a coaching / QB transition year. It doesn't quite get the love because we partied in Birmingham in December instead of South Beach and Bourbon Street new years. I will say the Bearcat Lair (Bearcat Journal) bus trip to Birmingham was quite party though. The 2009 team was another level, but the 2008 and 2007 teams were actually fairly close according to the numbers.

Is Mauk coaching now? He was probably the best QB overall I'd ever seen at UC

He's his dad's assistant coach at a high school in Missouri...before that he was at Kenton coaching with him as well.

I think that was the best looking field we've ever seen at Nippert.

Since it said 'Big East' on it, it was very good. The one prior to FCC was good also.
