Sheriff Jolley paid for the 2015 sign himself because of his passion behind the message.

That's what's cool about being a sheriff. Your boss is the voting public.

IMO, the County Sheriff is the #1 lawman in the County in which they serve. Not the Feds. There was a small county somewhere a while back that told the Feds to get out or they'd be arrested. Loved it when they didn't call his bluff and high tailed it out, too.

I remember that. And several other instances like it.

TEA Party folks shared a lot of these examples. I remember the Feds trying to take out some guy selling raw milk. The sheriff told them no.
