Football Spring Open Practice Details - Time changed to 730am
Football Will Close Spring with Open Practice in Nippert on April 14

The University of Cincinnati football team will close out its spring session with an open practice for Bearcats fans on Saturday, April 14 at 11:30 a.m. ET in Nippert Stadium.

Stadium gates and concession stands will open at 11 a.m.

Staff from the athletics ticket office will be on site behind the student section in the south end zone for fans and students who want to make their purchase on site. Season-ticket packages start at $99 or $16.50 per game in the Coach's Corner in section 127, 101 and 201. Student season tickets guarantee a seat for every game for just $70.

The club level will open at 11 a.m. on April 14. Concessions and beverages will be available for purchase, including: a Bloody Mary Bar, Mimosa Bar, omelet station, burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and walking tacos.

For fans in the stadium bowl, concession stands will be open with a pancake breakfast on the menu in Stadium View Café under the scoreboard. Bubblemosas, a mimosa using Rhinegeist Bubbles instead of champagne, will be featured as well.

Following the workout, the team will sign autographs for fans and the 2018 spring football poster will be available for pickup.

Is anyone allowed in the club level for this? I've never been in there and would like to see it.

They sent an email to season ticket holders last week I believe to be able to reserve seats in the club for this (1st come, 1st serve due to limited numbers).

Same. Looking forward to taking our young family down; hope the weather is decent.

Anyone know if they're doing a kids section/area? I vaguely remember them having inflatables up at last year's spring event, but we didn't see them until it was too late.

I'm going to wipe my ass on everything so Doss has to order his private assistant to clean.

If you wear a tight enough pair of short / pants, the moisture will easily transfer onto the surface of the seats (or wherever you decide to place your rear). Be assured we will not be using the safety paper for the toilet seats.

Well there's this......

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Athletics Announces Football Open Practice Time Change

CINCINNATI – Due to expected weather on Saturday, the University of Cincinnati football team will move its practice earlier in the day at Nippert Stadium.

The Bearcats will be on the field from 7:30-10 a.m. ET, weather permitting. Practice is open to the public.

Due the time change, activities in the Nippert Stadium West Pavilion Scholarship Club Level are cancelled. A future event allowing patrons to explore premium seating options will be announced later this spring.

Concession stands will not be open and the post-practice autograph session will be rescheduled.

PLEASE NOTE: Fans who renewed their season tickets before the deadline and also RSVP'd for the club will still have access to general seating, but the club will no longer be in use.

No concessions? UC could have made a few coins selling coffee, hot chocolate and pastries tomorrow morning to the 100 or so people in attendance.

The funny thing to me, is that the forecast shows a better chance at clear skies in the afternoon, rather than early in the morning. I'll check the weather in the morning and see if it's worth driving down for.

I consider myself a loyal UC football fan, and I was considering going despite no actual spring game. But I doubt that I'll be going now. Between the weather, the start time, and no game of any kind to speak of, I'll just wait and read about or watch a practice report.

It's disappointing.

These Spring Games have been a big disappointment for several years now.

I think it might be time to try something different. Maybe coordinate with FCC Cincinnati to host a soccer game and the spring game at the same time or contact the Reds and see if they can work it around a baseball game at Great American Ballpark.

It's not worth them putting forth the effort for the crowds they get. I don't blame them.

These drew great when UC was playing at an elite level. Need to start winning again before these become a thing.

Yep, you're exactly right. It's not unlike the game crowds. Winning breeds interest and friends.
