RE: Conference Realignment for D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and USCAA 2020 and Beyond
I hope they do add women’s wrestling at some point. Maybe it just isn’t feasible at this point. Hopefully if they do they also start a men’s volleyball program. Apologies for missing out on the men’s lacrosse team.
Once the wrestling program is launched, Montevallo will have ten sports for men and ten sports for women. They don’t sponsor football so they probably have a pretty even scholarship distribution. Sounds like the definition of gender equity.

Redeemer University, Clinton College and Covenant College are joining the NCCAA for the 22-23 year.
Redeemer U, Hamilton ON, is also in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association.
Clinton from South Carolina, is currently in the USCAA. No word if they will be dual members.
Covenant is currently also a D3 member and is from Lookout Mountain Georgia.
Atlantis University in Miami will join the USCAA for 2022-23, adding an additional football program to the association along with Atlantis’ other 11 programs.
The USCAA has not announced all of its other new members for next year yet however.

If I remember right, was Clinton a 2 year college? They must have gone 4 year recently like Dean.

Upper Iowa looks like they're trading trips to Minnesota and the Dakotas for trips to Missouri and Illinois. There is also a majority of private schools in the GLVC, where there is a majority of public schools in the NSIC.
I wonder if a renaming is in order for this conference. There is only one school in the Chicagoland area and one remaining in Indiana. The rest are in Missouri and downstate Illinois. Not much Great Lakes and a whole lot of Valley.

Basically, Mills will cease to exist as an athletic program after 2022-23. Not even without considered to be a branch campus for the futurely-merged Northeastern University.

According to a post on the Chicago State board, they will be in the Horizon for men’s and women’s tennis.

UIU has been hosting soccer in the GLVC, so there is some history there.
Jamestown isn’t a huge surprise. First clue that they wanted more was when they traded playing Dickey, Valley and Mayville to travel to play in the GPAC. It was a puzzling move to me. If this news is true, it could have been a step up in competition that wanted as a path to D2. They haven’t done particularly well in the GPAC-not by a long shot. But they have had pretty strong hoops historically so that may their main interest. And joining Mary and Minot isn’t a bad setup either.

Upper Iowa men's soccer is in the GLIAC and was previously in the MIAA. UIU women's lacrosse is in the GLIAC as part of a GLIAC-NSIC agreement. UIU bowling has been a GLVC member since the team's inaugural season in 2019-20. All other Peacock sports compete in their primary conference, the NSIC. Bowling is the only sport to have ever been affiliated with the GLVC. Upper Iowa's history as a D2 member dates only to 2006.

Indianapolis wants out GLVC. They don't have anybody close by which from reports, OVC were in talks with them.

What do they do with mens soccer?
The scholarships in ncaa are different than naia. The formula doesn’t translate well.

To be fair, Upper Iowa does fit the GLVC's footprint, and it would be the conference's first full member from the state of Iowa. That's if the rumors and sources would somehow be officially confirmed.
And if UIndy does get the call to commit to D-I in the future, they would definitely fit in the OVC (with or without Grand Valley State involved).
