Nashville Predators
are poised to make another deep run in the Stanley Cup playoffs. They have the best record in the NHL going in to the last few days of the regular season. Nothing is certain but they could get home ice advantage throughout the playoffs and are almost certain to have it for the western conference.

Fun times ahead for Nashville and the Predators fans.

Season ticket holder here...I never thought I would get into hockey, but I've been watching more and more over the last several years and I'm hooked. Now, let's hope they make a run, because these playoff tickets ain't cheap!

Pred fever spread throughout the city last year and I expect it to reach an epidemic level this season. Hockey held no interest with me, but now I enjoy watching it and learning more about it.

What are your thoughts on rd 2 against Winnipeg? Preds have the depth to make it tough on the Jets but Rinne let some pucks through against the Av’s that were out of character for him. This series could likely be decided by which goalie is hot.

You are right...goalie will be the deciding factor. Rinne will be fine. He looked like himself in Game 6. This series will be a war. Every one of the regular season games was a battle.

Winnepeg has the edge at forward, Preds have the edge at defense. Both places have amazing home ice crowds. I really think it could come down to a game 7 in Nashville.

I can't wait until tomorrow night.

It was refreshing in that game 6 to see the Preds stay disciplined and not take bad penalties. I think every Preds foul was offsetting in that game so we never played short handed.

I’m hoping Hartman can play tough And Keep his head.

Preds suck arse because they reside in Nashville. But if any memphian can get past 3 decades of Nashville politics stearing jobs away from Memphis and sending them to Nashville, by all means, go support Nashville.

Well damn, that sucked! Preds couldn’t get a bounce to go their way at all tonight! Hellebuyck was extremely good. The defense around him was even better. It seemed like we couldn’t get a stick on what few rebounds there were.

I love PK. One of the best athletes that I have ever seen in the community. He is so loved in Montreal that they had a half dozen reporters here covering playoff games and their team isn't even in the playoffs.

I do not understand the vitriol directed toward PK. He is charismatic and a great hockey player who is well liked by Nashvillians.

If you ever open a sports betting subscription service I'll be your first client. Your thoughts here from a couple of weeks ago are exactly how the series played out and ultimately sunk the Preds.

He's the Draymond Green of hockey. You love him if he's on your team. Every fan of every other team thinks he's overboard and cheap.

Because he has a habit of hitting guys in the back of the head and neck with his fist when he skates up to them from behind. He does it a lot, that's about as cheap as it gets.

Whoa there fella... cheap shots in hockey??? Nobody does that!

I think he gets boo'd because 1. he's that player that every other fan base knows. 2. his reputation for being flashy before and during games. The stuff he does during a game that people (me included) think of as cheap are pretty common place. Holding on to a players stick under your arm to make it look like a hook, little embellishments when taking contact, looking to the ref for a bailout call are pretty common. "As cheap as it gets" is a player like Brad Marchand.
