Anyone watch the NCAA championship game?
Had too many things going on. I can't say I was surprised at the outcome, I considered it a toss-up. But I am surprised at how one sided the score was.

Blow Glue. 04-cheers

It was somewhat competitive, then i fell asleep. When i woke up Mich was getting whooped by 20, not sure what happened in between. I guess their luck finally ran out. I don't think i've ever seen an easier road to the finals like that. Houston was the only decent team they faced and needed a miracle.

Villanova showed the future of college basketball. Bombs away from 3, and excellent defense.

Yes.

Good to see U-M lose.

It works pretty well with the kind of players Nova has...CMU not so much, although I must say your fans seem pretty fired up about that 5th place MAC West finish and overall #8 MAC seed. I'm sure Keno is busy scouting the flatland JC schools or mining the scene for unhappy transfers to fill holes that comes with the constant turnover given their normal year or two of eligibility (although I can't say I didn't wish that we'd go that route on occasion...he does seem to find some pretty productive backcourt players).

Not with UofM playing in it.

I keep hearing this but when you're a top seed, the road is supposed to be easier.

True, but I think I heard they were the first team ever to make it the the championship game without having to face a four seed or better.

Third easiest draw to the championship game. But so what? It’s a tournament and upsets happen. Where was Virginia, Michigan State and Xavier? They couldn’t beat “easy teams”. How about Ohio State? Michigan was slighted by the committee and didn’t get to play “at home” in Detroit at LCA. After New York had to go to the West Regional.

I completely agree, you can only play the teams on your schedule. Win and move on. I'm not discounting it at all. Obviously the teams they played knocked off the higher seeds so it couldn't have been a cakewalk.

RE: Anyone watch the NCAA championship game?
Regarding the Championship game, I didn't care who won.

One thing that struck me watching it was how Villanova has been coached to emphatically draw offensive fouls by blasting themselves backwards at the slightest touch. Diving. Flopping. They do it better and more effectively than any team I watched this season. Amazing and it doesn't happen without encouragement.

Coach has built Villanova into quite an impressive program.
