Just terrible that our pitching can’t throw strikes and get outs to an awful hitting team. Walks and hit batters killed us tonight. Bats didn’t help.

I’ve come to expect those. But the errors in the 8th didn’t cause us to lose.

Can't score 8 runs every night. Pitching staff sucks.

The three runs in the first shouldn’t have happened. Easy dp right to Boyd and he boots it. The pitching wasn’t horrible last night, but when we have chances to get outs we can’t pass them up.

boyd has been struggling in the field lately....it's starting to become a serious problem...

8 errors. .938%. Not really what you want out of your SS.

What makes you pull your hair out is that he makes the insane plays and the next inning he'll boot a routine ground ball or skip one to Slater.

He got off to a pretty good start, too....so he's probably around .850 over the last few weeks. That's a Roney-esque fielding percentage.

Aside from the glove problems, I've always felt like he holds the ball just a little too long on even routine plays.

You're right, though...he's made some great plays. He had one against Ole Miss that was really nice. It's funny. I would probably trust him less than any of our previous shortstops on routine plays. And I can't think of one who has made more highlight reel type plays.

Too much truth.
