"Monday night’s NCAA championship game, which saw Villanova crush Michigan 79-62, drew the lowest overnight rating in the history of the tournament. Across TBS, TNT and TruTV, the tournament’s championship game earned a 10.3 overnight rating, according to Sports Business Daily’s John Ourand. The previous low for a NCAA championship game was the 11.2 rating pulled in during the 2004 NCAA contest between UConn and Georgia Tech."

what was uconn butler and louisville michigan?

Not sure. Even though UCONN-Butler wasn't the most entertaining game, I believe it had good ratings because of the David vs Goliath story-line.

Yea, a 9:30 tip on a Monday night is just brutal if you have to be up to go to work in the morning. Probably didn't help that neither team was from the west coast, and thus the people that could have actually met up for drinks and the game didn't have a casual rooting interest.
