Rockets seem to be loaded at TE. Especially if Stephens signs. Would really be surprised if Dorris transferred to Toledo.

Now, if he played LB...

I agree, it seems like it would be hard for him to see playing time. He would only have one year, so not so much of a concern with Stephens committed and likely to sign, but does he really see much playing time over Gilliam, Rosi and Turner??? My guess would be no. Though with his size he could be a heck of a blocking back for Koback, etc.

Whitmer HS 3 star DT Cavon Butler is verbally committed to Kentucky, but Toledo is making a strong push and coaches did an in-home visit tonight. He will reportedly choose between Toledo, Kentucky, Ohio State and Michigan State next Wednesday.

I don’t see where we could justify taking him in but then again I hate to let a good recruit go someplace else if he wants to play here at Toledo. We do have some good talent at TE already. And now the commit a couple days ago.
I was looking at wmu a few minutes ago and see they have three 3* RB commits for this class. They really do have some nice looking guys committed up there. They are still ranked number one in the Mac followed by Miami and Toledo

Rosi was a good DE. Many tight ends could play on defense. Since we almost never throw to them, why not let them play D.

6-2 JUCO DB Jaylen Watson was in for an official visit over the weekend. Very good size for a corner. Has 3 years to play 2. 3 star prospect, looks like Toledo has a really good shot at landing him.

RE: 2019 Football Recruiting Thread
I don't know if it was mentioned anywhere in the thread, but I was reading that there's a kid in Indiana who doesn't have any D1 offers. He is a FB/RB and has set some state records with 3,356 rushing yards, 72 TD's, and 422 points in his Junior season. His school is Div. 5A, but he has good size at 5-10, 221. He wants to go to school in the midwest.

I saw this... He reminds me of the RB from OU (Oulette?). Will probably end up there and runfor 300 every time we play them

24/7 has updated the 2019 recruiting class. Toledo Rockets are now listed as the top recruiting class in the MAC! Followed by wmu and then Miami

Looks like a good find. 24/7 does not have him listed yet. However they still have Toledo at the top followed by wmu and Miami

RE: 2019 Football Recruiting Thread
It seems like we are recruiting Michigan harder, which is a good thing... The D-1 talent level up there goes in cycles, so it is important to have our presence known. The QB(Finn) OL(Carey) all the Cass kids, and this recent verbal are definetely what we need, just like back when Amstutz owned south of I-94...

Looks like Toledo is still in on a few Tampa area recruits. Ward backed out of his commitment to Maryland a few months ago and he's still available...I believe he had an ankle injury this year and still went over 1k yds in 9 games.

eh... he's A local QB. There's several good ones but I think the Whitmer kid is considered the top.

I’ve seen them both play. Brady is the better QB. Spins the ball so much better. He’ll have big school offers soon.
