RE: ESPN+ Rolls out on April 12
They must have had some last minute kinks with the Roku channel that kept it from being available at launch.
I'm curious how aggressive ESPN+ will be at obtaining rights other networks currently have. I'm thinking La Liga currently on BEIN would be a nice add to ESPN+ but is ESPN willing to spend money to obtain rights that will benefit the new platform long term??

ESPN could get the AFL for production costs. Currently the AFL actually pays CBSSN to televise one game a week.

RE: ESPN+ Rolls out on April 12
Why would ESPN pay the AFL anything? There’s only 4 teams and 75% of them didn’t even exist 2 years ago.
If enough people subscribe, maybe they will pony up the money for La Liga, but I’d be shocked if BeIN wanted to let that go.

Maybe they can bring in Arena Football at large? There are several leagues to choose from.

I redownloaded the ESPN app on Roku today. Put my ESPN+ and DirectTV provider info and it's a rolling.

I am going to do everything in my power to not do this. Hate giving the Mouse any money. The Mouse has ruined this product. Going to have to bundle it with Insider.

So one more channel of fluff, because they didn't have enough of that already.
