I had no idea what that place was. Always figured it was an abandoned building.

Cuz it doesn't open until 2am. Everyone should visit PJs at least once.

I swear I have never seen that before. I guess great minds think alike. Would love for the City of Norfolk to adopt that name and brand the area as NoCo.

The NoCo thing started a few years ago. I think it was roughly the same time the NEON district became a thing. Haven't seen the NoCo branding really stick with exception of a few realtor friends using it.

Here are some random links that refer to NoCo

Yelp discussion from 2014
https://www.yelp.com/topic/norfolk-the-o...-of-colley

Alt Daily 2015
http://altdaily.com/welcome-to-noco-cogans/

Real Estate Listings with references to NoCo
https://www.trulia.com/p/va/norfolk/630-...1027523663
https://www.trulia.com/p/va/norfolk/729-...1004881967

Can't find any mentions pre 2014 nor did I find it currently listed as an official area on any City of Norfolk Maps (yet).

As some of you may know, the USPS recently vacated the post office on Colley. This post office served the 23508 area code, so ODU, Larchmont, Highland Park, Colonial Place, Lambert's Point and Virginia Place. From what I heard, the USPS wasn't happy with the state of the building and are now looking for a new building to either purchase or lease.

I also read that the old post office has received interest from a beer brewery, orchard brewery, restaurant, and a UPS store, among others. Hope whatever it is, it's something that really adds to the area of North Colley. I'm hoping for a cidery.

That was my post office. I didn't think they were looking to replace it. I figured it was just another post office location simply closing down.

Mine too. Landlord wasn't reinvesting in the building but still wanted to jack up their lease. So, they moved all the PO boxes (temporarily I'm told) to the Church Street post office until they find a replacement.

That's crazy. I thought the Post Office owned that property. I'm glad they are looking to keep one in the area.

Every time I see this thread I think it says "Noah Colley is transferring"

We went to Hanks Filling Station yesterday afternoon. What a great place! It was a perfect day for sitting outside, enjoying live music and cold beer. The food was good too.
Highly recommend.
