Their narrative is simple: Guns are bad. Ban them.
They refuse to address the real issue: People can be bad.
But what do you expect from people who want to kill babies but free murderers?
Not alt-left but I will take a crack at it.
The article states that London has out paced NYC in knife homicides, for the first few months of the year. London has had recent “surge” which allowed it to over take NYC by less than five knife homicdes. You leave out the part where homicdes overall in NYC are twice that of London. Wonder what was the weapon of choice in those crimes. You also left out what experts believe to be the cause of the decline in crime for NYC. Not guns, a change in policing strategy.
Actually, I didn't leave anything out. My comment was commentary.
I believe my comments stand firm.
Given the explosion of social media and portable computing there are those suggesting technology is "bad."
Google and others know your on-line history. They store it. They sell it. What reasons might people want this information?
Technology is inanimate. It is neither good nor bad. What a person chooses to do with it is where moral issues enter the equation.
Guns are inanimate. They are neither good nor bad. What a person chooses to do with it is where moral issues enter the equation.

I believe the article states total homicides in London overtook NYC for Feb and March (it doesn't matter how they were killed).
NYC had twice the homicide rate of London last year (2017), but the first three months this year are neck and neck (with London overtaking NYC for the first time in monthly totals in Feb and March).
The article adds a 6x higher likelihood of being burglarized and 1.5x more likely to fall victim to a robbery in London.
Maybe I read the article wrong, not sure why you are comparing knife homicides in each city. Total homicides.

I'm just not surprised that this mayor was invited to speak in Austin. What's so amazing though that in spite of the fact that he wants to stop free speech he still was allowed HIS FREE SPEECH. I wouldn't have gone to see him speak and that's the way it should be. If someone doesn't like a certain speaker don't listen.

My mistake, I did misread that line but my point still stands. To take two months of data and call it "victory" or "proof" is overstepping.

I believe that is the first reference to the terms "victory" and "proof" in this thread.
