what makes life terribly easy is to not be so easily offended. es trader probably thought he found a sympathetic audience in which to voice his grievances. he was sadly mistaken

anyway, cbs sportsline (which is the only sports news website i visit. mike axixsa or whatever his name is worth it alone. i miss doyel. loved that guy) has jake and gary bookending the rounds. i know this is an evans thread, but man, gary getting drafted would be a pretty remarkable thing. i know this a jake thread (i'm so glad the board's opted to call him jake instead of jacob. so hip), but i imagine teams hate having to release the killa. they be all bummed out giving him the news. this sucks man. just outta our control. the next day, he go out and get his. i'm more of a fan of his now than when he was a 'cat. it's nice seeing 'cats back in the nba

I think if Gary can play the undersized 4/5 role for certain teams he'll have a role in the league. He needs to expand the range on his 3 point shot, but he does enough well that I could see him having a nice career. Really excited to see what happens with both Jake and Gary.

Well that poster should probably change their signature if they havent. I'm relaxed and its not your job to tell other posters what to do.

Not looking for a sympathetic audience but nice try.

I agree with you on Gary's potential role. My concern with Gary isn't his skills; it's size/athleticism related. Is he quick enough and strong enough to play that inside outside role like Draymond?

Somebody's going to get a really good pick with JE3. I think he's actually going to be one of those guys who really blossoms and is better as a pro; especially if he can get in a great system like GS or SA (or Boston except they seem to have a lot of perimeter guys).

At least he's not going to have to play 35 min/game.

If you must quote Michelle Obama - and who would do that??? - use this one:

Michelle Obama made a remark that Republicans will use to hammer her husband should he win the Democratic nomination. "For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback," she said.

http://www.newsweek.com/michelle-obamas-...arks-83559

p.s. I also find it amusing that adults actually fill out their signature page with drivel on bulletin boards and also rate other posters. Amazing!

There was a poster that actually had that as his signature... I don't think he got a hard time about it at all.

I'm guessing 70-80% of the people on this forum have far differing political views than me and we don't really have issues...

If you want to discuss this further feel free to bring it to the political forum or dm me.

We're on the same page with Jake. He's got the skills, size and athleticism to be a really good role player in the league and maybe even something beyond that.

My God people are babies... I don't agree with the sentiment, as the quote basically amounts to "Status Quo! Status Quo!" but it's benign and entirely innocuous toward the people on this board and Americans in general.
As for the actual topic of the thread, Evans could very well end up having a VERY long career in the league.
It'd be cool to see someone take a chance on Gary in the draft. I'll believe it when I see it though.
He's a tweener, neither as fast as a lot of SF's or as long and hyper athletic as a lot of PF's. He has stuff going for him too, dude is just a flat out gamer, can shoot from 3, guard multiple spots and rebound/score against large competition on the inside.

RE: Evans...
The thing Gary has going for him is the league has gone to multi dimensional players. He's a good ball handler, passer, was our top 3 point shooter, and is an incredibly intelligent defender. If this was 10 years ago and you were going to put him at 6'8 230 hanging in the post against NBA power forwards I wouldn't like his chances.

He played probably without looking 29 or 30 minutes a game here. I'd bet your top 50 to 75 guys in the nba play at least that or more.
