I’ll argue that he’s wrong. If I try to shoot the Pope, have bad aim, and accidentally shoot the other guy that was about to assasinate him, I don’t think I should get credit for the positive outcome

I guess it’s called historical revisionism. Selectively choosing facts which support his position and diminishing those which do not. Or just plain old making stuff up. Ray Watts was essentially a cyborg designed to end UAB football but failed. His Machiavellian leadership met the law of unintended consequences and failed. And now he’s hoping this incident bounces off of him like bullets bounces off of superman.

Here’s hoping that the balance of power has permanently shifted in our favor

I think the chants really got to the little narcissist. Ray Watts really just wants to be loved and admired. If some public flattery keeps things moving forward for UAB football and the stadium, pucker up Carrington.
