I think it is super funny that any ECU fan would have anything to say about fan behavior at a baseball game. We are notorious for ragging the hell out of the opposing team from the jungle. I did it myself in the the early 80's standing on a box...half drunk and obnoxious.

Came down to mistakes. WSU made too many today. When you lose 5-0 giving up (I think only 2 earned runs) those mistakes haunt the hell out of you. The inning with all the passed balls was a killer. ECU starting pitching on the weekends is becoming very impressive. If we can settle down Benton and get some quality starts from him our series rotation could be dominate down the stretch.

I was SUPER impressed with the WSU catcher. He is a total Baller and no doubt is heading to the bigs...He was no doubt the best player on the field over the 3 days and for sure had the best beard. WSU is a long way from being out of this. I fully expect them to be a favorite in the tournament.

Anyways, I kind of wish I had been over on that side of the stadium during the encounter and maybe I could have had better opinion/statement on what happened. My only information was what was posted in that thread. I didn't really hear much crap talking when I was over at their dugout shooting the game. Anything I heard was nothing more than the normal baseball chatter IMO.

I will say today that Jenkins did get kind of ticked twice at WSU, once during an at bat and then after his at bat attempt and he was on base he came by the dugout during a break in the action at those times to complain about some crap talking by the WSU club. How real, how severe, and all that jazz I'll have no idea but I know our guys were telling him to settle down and chill, because if he let it fester they'd be inside his head.

Congrats to ECU on the series win. I think Thursday's outcome looks pretty fluky considering the next two days. ECU pitching shut down the WSU bats and played better fundamental baseball. They capitalized on their chances while WSU did some urinating down their legs.

Going into the series, I expected a series loss so I'm honestly not too disappointed. I said after Thursday's game that ECU is gonna come out pissed and instead of responding, we just whimpered.

And yes, we need rivalries in baseball. We need anything as we've been dormant for the better part of the last decade.

Wow, God forbid another team/fan base have a pulse around here. Ecu needs a good frenemy.

You guys think Wichita and ECU have some bad blood, try looking at the Predators-Storm back in the 90's.

It's great to have another passionate baseball fan base in the conference.

Series could have gone either way. Wichita is good. Really liking the make up of this conference in baseball.

As a pirate, I find this thread pretty embarrassing.

I will admit that, in the days where we would do our homework on the player in left field that we were closest to so we could scream at him about how we were all going to take his sister Emily out for a lovely steak dinner after the game, or when we would stand behind the opposing bench and let the opposing running back that just fumbled know that he should re-think his life, we may have gone a little too far.

With that being said, I don't think we should take it to the point where we are complaining about mean things that opposing teams are saying in a game. Welcome to the party Wichita. Looking forward to future match-ups.
