That's like building a football stadium in East Hartford. What a waste of $.

Cut the cost and make 30K seats, won't ever fill it anyway.

Good for them. It will piss Alabama off, which is better.

Yup---the whole "destroy UAB" football plan almost couldnt have gone more wrong. Not only did they survive---now they are getting a new stadium and the control Tuscaloosa had over them has probably never been weaker. The whole thing was dumb because UAB was always zero threat to Bama's performance or their fanbase. It was really just spite. 04-cheers

As a UCF fan, well, we know all about triggering Alabama. Hell, there is an Alabama fan over on fansided.com threatening to track me down and kill me. Seriously. Guy is fracked up in the head. Butch Jones was right. However, it is more than just Tennessee fans.

If alright with you, I would like to post the link here. It is pretty damn funny to see this guy lose it after all I did was point out how ridiculous the Tide are over this whole UCF thing....

I can say without a doubt that Legion Field is easily the worst stadium I've ever been to. It's not just the stadium itself that is terrible, but the neighborhood around it. Traffic going in and out of the stadium was a nightmare at the 2015 Birmingham Bowl and you pretty much had no choice but to park in someone's yard in a shady neighborhood.

I assume our Birmingham bowl will be moving to the new diggs.....thats a nice side benefit for the AAC.

I doubt it was intentional, but UAB totally pulled a Coke Classic on everyone. They took football away because the support was poor, piqued demand, and brought it back stronger than ever.
