A home game and that’s about it.

ALABAMA-
Well, that’s about the outcome I anticipated. I had hoped we’d be in a 2-3 point game either way (W-L). Tough to really say what happened since I couldn’t watch it. Only caught the radio broadcast and saw the box score. The box score tells me we didn’t pass the ball enough (assists), we turned it over too much, and we fouled WAY too much. They shot 20 more free throws.

We have one more shot at a signature win and that’s at UCLA.

I expect we beat Alabama St. handily on Friday.

That was a bad loss to Austin Peay. We have to win all those kind of games.

The second half was bad. Up by 5 at halftime and lose by nine? Not good but we are still having a good season. Conference play will determine how good.

Is it just me, or if we give up more than 30 by halftime it usually results in a loss?

30 is the magic number.
11-0 when holding opponents under 30 points at halftime.
0-4 when giving up over 30 points at halftime.

I know it is a very long shot but I REALLY hope we win an NCAA tournament game this year to get to the round of 32. That would be a huge milestone for the program and this year looks as good a chance as any to reach that.

RE: 2018-19 Basketball Seasons
If Georgia State wins the Sun Belt as expected, Kent State keeps doing what they're doing finish top 3 in the MAC and UCLA gets to 20 wins. We might get a 11-12 seed if we run the conference. Beating Lipscomb would add to the resume as they're up there in the NET/KenPom rankings.

Liberty can't afford bad losses in Conference. @Lipscomb and @NJIT won't be considered bad loses. Anything else will be.

I see both Lipscomb and us finishing 14-2 in conference. 25-6 overall.

BTW how nice is it to be out of the Big South? Redford has wins against Notre Dame and a ranked Texas squad and yet they're projected to be a 15 seed.

11 isn’t happening and 12 is a stretch. I think if we did that we would be a 13.

RE: 2018-19 Basketball Seasons
I think we are totally getting ahead of ourselves. We aren’t even gonna make the NCAA tourny unless we win the A-Sun confefence tourny. We haven’t even played our first conference game yet. There is a long way to go before I even think NCAAs. I’m not convinced UCLA is a “good” win other than name only. They are looking like a pretty bad team. None-the-less they are “UCLA.”

I think we’ll finish (12-4) 23-8 overall in the regular season.
I do see us facing Lipscomb for the conference tournament championship and NCAA bid.

RE: 2018-19 Basketball Seasons
UCLA looked really good, they have the talent to win the Pac-12. Side note Walton is a Grade A douche.

I saw posted on the other board where Lunardi said ASUN could be a 2 bid league this year. 12 seed is not a stretch. ASUN is slowly turning into a respectable league. NJIT, FGCU, Lipscomb, UNA and North Florida. All solid programs. NJIT is going to be a problem in the future. A lot of support and they have a brand new arena. UNA will be good once they get settled in D1.
