What do you think the over/under is in weeks before we announce our grad transfer? I would put it at six weeks. Hopefully they had at least one they were working on before the announcement.

I'm thinking all the top players have to sign first. Trickle down will take a while, so yeah 6 weeks sounds right.

Why do you make suff up? Or say things like “most people...”

Where is most people in the post above. Also...this is not made up. if you were actually looking at what happened during several games this year JJ had to grab Trey to get him to listen.

BigBlue knows his stuff. I would lay off myself. Plus, I heard the same thing from someone right behind our bench, not new.

Why is it some huge surprise Porter doesn’t take well to criticism? Look at the way he acted all year long towards foul calls, or lack there of... seems par for the course.

Make no mistake. Losing Trey Porter is big. Cause he is big, literally. I’m sure he’s a good kid. Wish him well. He probably just needs to mature a bit, just cause u don’t want that reputation for getting technicals and barking all the time. I think he’s very talented and could make good $ playing hoops.

I greatly value Porter’s contributions and was excited about what he was going to bring next year. But mark my words - Porter has a long way to go before he is ready for the nba. Definitely good enough to play overseas but not the nba. I’m interested to see what grass he thinks is greener. And I look forward to watching how this plays out, since it will be a good example to others considering a similar path.

If it’s the Big 10 as rumored - I would say Maryland

So, the kid wants to play in the NCAA and also be seen on TV. That ain't happening at ODU. I was thinking Maryland too Obi. Not sure about the NCAA by going there but I can say I saw Zoran Talley playing for Iowa State 3 or 4 and I wasn't even looking to see him.

We will have an Arledge or Painter before you know it. What is it 700 transfers a year now? Why should we think it won't happen to us too ? Tha't
s the world we live in now.

Maryland also makes sense because he's from NoVa, which is pretty close to College Park. Those Big10 crowds will surely get on him hard if he tries that whiney pouty stuff with the refs in that league.

If Porter goes to Maryland, I don't think he is going to start. Fernando is a legit big man that plays with a lot of emotion and skill. He is going to be Maryland's starting big man. They will have a tough time taking Bruno off the floor.

We will not land anyone nearly as good as Porter as a transfer, GUARANTEED.

Further more, we needed to keep Porter AND land a grad transfer to be good next year and we don't have either.

Year 6 and no NCAA tourney. Enough is enough.

All this is true except the part that says he has heard from all these schools since he was given his release...what a crock of shat...Anyway..the truth is Porter and JJ get along fine . This is about exposure for Porter. And yes Porter will play wherever he ends up transferring . This is just a sample of what to expect in the future concerning mid majors.Does not look good!!!

Global board warning

Leave the insults at the door. It's been more toxic than usual aroud here lately. And we understand why it has been so contentious. But we cannot sit idly by while y'all make personal attacks.

So do us a favor and focus on the topic and not your fellow fans.

If you want to discuss this, PM myself, Bit or 78.

No further will be discussed on this topic in the public. Thank you.

I wonder what level explosion this board would hit if he transfers to Murray State. Lol

I honestly don't care where he goes, and don't have any hard feelings toward him or the staff for him leaving. My concern is what we do to address the massive hole that his departure, coupled with Brandan's graduation, has created.
