First off, it doesn't matter if he was hog or has connections to hogs. He is now our coach, like it or not. He may turn out to be great coach. We just got to give him a chance and see what happens.

So I have some requests for our new coach and I hope you express your requests.

1. ENCOURAGE AND KEEP THE BETTER PLAYERS!!!
The guys that I definitely want here to stay are Burns, Tucker, Corcoran, Pippins, Bankston, Oliver Black, Lottie, and Reedus.
You may disagree but I believe these guys will make a major impact next season.

2. Make a plan for your staff.
The only coaches I can see stay on staff are the Little Rock Alums, Solomon Bozeman and Brandon Patterson. The others are probably going to be gone. So hopefully he can get a solid staff like Beard did.

3. If you are successful...
stay and create a dynasty of great basketball!

No offense to anyone else on the staff, but I would like to keep Quanza Johnson. A class guy with a lot of great experience as an assistant coach.

Tuscaloosa, AL – Tuscaloosa native Barry Sanderson is now the leader of the Tuscaloosa Academy boys basketball program.

Sanderson, the son of former Alabama men’s basketball coach Wimp Sanderson, has been an assistant coach in both the SEC and ACC. He replaces John David Smelzer who stepped down. Smelzer will stay on as TA’s head girls basketball coach.

Sanderson’s assistant coaching jobs include the University of South Carolina, Wake Forest, Lipscomb University, East Carolina University and the University of Arkansas Little Rock.

No doubt Wimp was gonna keep Barry. I suspect that was the only reason we were able to get Wimp.
