So Clark University is already looking for a new coach
@CoachingChanges March 26th

Hearing Clark Atlanta is looking to hire Sam Mitchell . They had success with last NBA hire......

I guess the folks at Clark think Walker to Little Rock is a done deal. I would think the only people who know for sure are Chasse, Chancellor Rogerson and the folks in the same positions at Clark.

I have no clue what's actually going to happen, but a website reporting that Clark University is searching for a coach seems pretty telling.

Well I know one thing. If no contract agreement has been signed, and Walker has made a big assumption that he's a done deal at Little Rock and resigned from Clark, I'd say Chasse is in a very, very strong negotiating position!

This is from an article on Mid-Major Madness:

After two seasons at Clark University, Walker now gets his shot at the Div. I level at Little Rock. And there is a loose connection. Walker started his collegiate playing career at Arkansas-Fort Smith, before spending three seasons at Arkansas under Eddie Sutton.

Seems like folks in the business have ton of trust in Jeff Borzello. I really don't know what to believe at the moment.

How often do this many media outlets falsely report a coaching hire. I don't recall it happening that very often, but the again I generally don't follow other team's coaching searches.

How often have you seen outlets report a coaching hire, and then the Chancellor of the hiring University state on the record that nothing has been signed? And this kind of delay between the media reports and some confirmation from the hiring University?

Not very often. Hard to imagine this will drag out much longer if he is going to be hired.

The lawyers may be hashing out the fine print.

In this hire, if Walker is hired, my guess is that the details will be finer than most.

I will be very pissed if Darrell and his buddies (Wally and Joe) are adding unreasonable stipulations, trying to make a political move, like, I dont know...the donors will show you the money if you change the school colors or the branding back to UALR (we are better off as Little Rock, just ask the mayor and every other media outlet), or fire Chasse, or add ice hockey instead of FBS or some other jerk move. Some people are really petty.

Remember, incoming LR men's head coaches brought "image and standard" changes with them in the past: Wimp (logo and color change from gold to silver), Sidney (Logo change), Porter (name change to Arkansas- Little Rock), Steve (logo change to current trojan head) It's not out of the realm of possibility that something similar is afoot. Hope to heaven that it is not something regressive.
