In an interview on Fox News Channel's 'Sunday Morning Futures' Nunes offered "paper ballots" as his top recommendation following the committee finding no evidence of any links between Trump and Russia.

"When we get back in two weeks, if the 1.2 million documents aren't in the Capitol, they should immediately move to hold the Department of Justice and FBI in contempt, and if we have to vote on contempt, we should immediately move to impeach those officials," Nunes said.

Last week, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte said the FBI is being "very slow" to deliver documents requested by Congress. He said they have only provided a few thousand of more than 1.2 million requested documents.



"We can't wait," he said about coming to terms with what happened in the 2016 election. "We've been listening for over a year to the Democrats in this country scare the American people saying they have evidence of collusion with the Russians -- no they don't."

"I had to go through this for the last year, fighting the Department of Justice and FBI for documents. I think the American people know that they stonewalled for many, many months, so that we could actually figure out that Fusion GPS was paid by the Democratic Party and the Clinton campaign to collude with Russians to get dirt on President Trump. That took a long time to find out.
