I went to Loyola of Chicago for grad school. No one on campus could tell you when the next men’s basketball game was (although i’m sure that if you asked now, everyone was a big fan from day 1). Their basketball facility was built in ‘96 and seats about 5200, but the only time I saw it with more than 1500 in it was vs Michigan State in ‘99 the year after State won a NC. It’s predecessor was basically a highschool gym with maybe 2000 seats.
So there’s some tradition for you.
