It's Ray Harper...
according to Coaching Changes Twitter account. They note that they called Middle Tenn correctly. The site also says Schertz would be a great hire and that Nichols state will hire the guy from LSU-Alexandria. No clue how they get their info. I guess they may be right or they may be wrong. We'll know soon enough.

The site also criticized Chasse for telling our signees he would not release them until after we hire a new coach. I say kudos to Chasse. I know the way things are now days we will eventually release them, if they want to be released. But, I think they should meet with the coach before they make their final decision. I would think the new coach should also have the choice not to keep them, if they don't fit his style, but I'm not sure how that works if a contract has been signed.

If this whole thing is true, agree on all fronts. Harper would be a solid hire and players should at least meet with him. But, let's see if this is based in fact.

Here is the actual tweet from this morning, now that I'm in front of an actual computer-

Coaching Changes@CoachingChanges 12 hours ago

Nailed it, going to go ahead and call Larry Cordaro for Nichols State and Ray Harper for Arkansas Little Rock, crack open this case of Natty Light and get to work.

@CoachingChanges
Nick McDevitt is next in line for MTSU, write it down nothing to Check on!

Folks on Jacksonville State message board seem worried he might be coming here, but they seem to be getting their information from the same sources as Ii am (no one appears to have any "inside" information).

I 100% support telling recruits they can have a release if they want it but need to talk to the new coach first.

Sure. Unless for some unusual reason there is going to be a lengthy delay of some sort, that falls into the coach's responsibilities, not the ADs.
