Its unfortunate but it happens all the time. Fred Van Vleet committed to the Shockers early and then blew up on the summer circuit. There were lots of programs trying to flip him before signing day, thankfully none were successful.

WSU has a 2019 verbal from an Alabama kid, he was still receiving offers after the commitment.

Last time I looked, Crabtree now has 20 offers, and has interest from Kansas, UCLA, UVA and WVU, iirc. But he told us it was down to Tulane or Memphis.

The interwebs can be a terrible place as some of the comments on his decision (from Memphis fans) are deplorable. I understand it is usually just a small minority of fans who feel the need to comment just so they can feel like their voice matters, but it is still sad. The kid made a choice, the Bball and academic environment between Tulane and Memphis are very different, just respect his decision and move on.

Great news for Tulane. They haven't had a winning season since they've joined the AAC but hopefully that changes next year.

I agree. You are preaching to the choir in here. There are always those on message boards and other social media who make it about them and say the worst things imaginable, b/c they can, hiding behind a keyboard.
