RE: Report: Paul Johnson sought the Tennessee head coaching job
Late to this party, but I don't check this forum often.

As I have said before, there is one thing that sticks out like a sore thumb looking at Johnson's years at Tech and that is the lack of talent at the B-back position. There is no reason that Georgia Tech shouldn't have a running back that can go in the first 3 rounds of the NFL draft every season. As of now they don't haven't had a back drafted since 2011. That might be Johnson's fault, or it might be deeper problems than that (not going to make that judgement) but if you're sub-par at that position it's hard to make the offense work. I think the talent at A-back hasn't been that great either, but that's not quite as big of a problem.

And I'm not sure what it is people mean when they say you have to be "disciplined". If you play impulsively and don't stick to your assignments your going to get burned by most college offenses. Have people not payed any attention to what Navy has done in the AAC against better athletes or know that the best college football team of all time ('95 Nebraska) was an option team?
