I would agree that the SEC was a lot deeper than in past years. But, no nationally elite teams. Kentucky, was the closest (like always), but Coach Cal couldn't quite get his young pups to completely gel. I think his job of getting a bunch of All-American freshman to come together, as a team, in less than a full season, is a little harder than people give him credit for.

Sure it is hard. But he named his game, so he has to play it.
