There’s no membership problem in the MAC. I’ll always love Saturday MAC roadtrips.

Problem is frigid weeknight football with no end in sight.

The MAC is just fine. If Marshall ever wanted to come back we might talk about an expansion to 14.

Yea, all things considered the MAC is chugging along alright. Marshall's the only school that REALLY makes sense, and if you're going to 14 to get Marshall (and I don't actually think they should go beyond 12) that's the point where you're talking about the individual merits of UMass, ODU, and WKU. There's no need to split the conference in any sort of mass shake-up though.

It is putting in a lot of effort in pursuit of a conference situation that is worse than the MAC schools have at present. So why bother?

At least I get where the endless "toss the CUSA and Sunbelt into a hat and pull out two more regionally sensible conferences" threads are coming from ... even if there is no clear way to pull it off.
