RE: baseball at FAU
Stink are you trying to say that we should pinch hit for Wallner so he can get time to warm up ? You do realize that if we pinch hit for him then he’s out of the game and can’t come back in. I don’t understand what you’re saying.

Why not DH Wallner on nights that we know that we would probably use him on the mound (eg Friday)?
We need his arm more than his glove.

Then you have to throw Keating out in the field and the staff thinks very little of his defensive ability.

my mistake......I'll admit, I'm an NL guy.....that would put 10 in the lineup at one time if you can't swap him to the DH (which based on your response, I assume the latter isn't allowed)
so I'm to assume the rule is if the DH is replaced, he has to be replaced with someone off the bench.......now I know why I hate the DH rule all the way around now....
which lends to JXN's point in response....
as I mentioned before, I simply think we need his arm late and often when we're in a tight spot....if him tossing in the outfield to get warmed up in the 7th and 8th is best method, or running from the pen to the plate, so be it....
having a solid closer is YUGE....and our former bad-ass is now starting on Friday....which was a great move....that guy tosses w(h)iffle ball....

Yeah, of course a senior with speed hasn’t learned to play even left field after four years here.
He can’t even play left?! Berry has been a step away from throwing fans and concession vendors on the field to play left.
