Upset alert! Over Shaq Vann, Ian Eriksen, AND Harris?
Vann & Eriksen? Love Eriksen's toughness and he's a nice college player, but highly unlikely even as UDFA. Vann could have big year if he stays healthy, but speed is the issue there. If he has a big year, stays healthy, AND somehow runs sub 4.5 forty, maybe an invite as UDFA.
That being said, really like both as collegians in our backfield!
Brogan is getting drafted this year. If Harris comes back 100%, and puts up 8-10 sacks, he could very well be a late rounder. Definitely has the size and motor. Invites to post season games, combines, and pro days would determine ultimate round. Pass rushers are a premium commodity in the NFL.
If a guy like Joe Ostman from Central gets drafted this year, that would be a great sign for Harris.
Does Eriksen get drafted as an H-Back/ Full Back type?
Those guys are typically quite a bit bigger in the NFL. Cheering for the kid either way, great career at EMU.

Agree, but weight could be an issue. If he loses weight like a lot of thin DE-types do, it would hurt him.
Some DTs can't keep weight OFF. Some DEs can't keep weight on.
I bet a lot of DEs like Jason Taylor played at a LOT less weight than listed.
What's the name of our new JUCO DE, who apparently lost a bunch of weight.
I believe Simeon.... hopefully we can get his weight up to 240lbs minimum and use him on 3rd and >5 passing downs. If not - red shirt him ( is this possible?)

He has good size, very strong arm and throws the fade. That's enough for me to bring him into a NFL camp for a good look.

BTW, the Steelers would not surprise me at all as say a 7th rounder.

Roback had a Detroit lion workout today. Heard it went really well. He completed all his passes. His last ball was a 60yd bomb to Bailey!!!
Woodside UT, Morris CMU and O'Korn Michigan were there. Was told that Roback was the best of the group..

You win as a team and lose as a team. However from my perspective, if you take away the CMU game (I know we can't), then Roback had a pretty darn good year. We lost to NIU and Kentucky on rugby punts in the fourth quarter and we lost to WMU by a senseless clipping call. We should have earned an 8-4 record during the regular season. It's been my assessment, Roback was the most physically talented QB in the conference but he was sometimes "forced" to make game winning plays because we had no running game or we got behind due to rugby punts putting the team in a pickle.
At any rate, it would be great if Roback gets drafted ahead of Toledos QB. Toledos QB definitely had a better offensive situation than Roback.

Okay, Luckey. I always GAVE him credit too. I was NEVER a Roback critic.
I was a fan of his before he put on his jersey for his first August practice. I met him and the TE recruit from IN (forgot his name) before they even enrolled at EMU.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Roback blocked me on twitter after i called him "jay cutler jr" for throwing too many picks.
I WANT roback to get drafted - it'd be great. This is a REALLY deep year for quarterbacks though. Someone (and it only needs to be one team) needs to fall in love with him.

If Brogan Roback can't read MAC defenses, how in the actual hell is he going to read NFL defenses and put his errant passes in tight windows before an insanely fast NFL defensive back casually picks off his throws? He has ZERO chance of getting drafted.

Don't know what you are talking about?? Besides CMU game, Roback had a very nice season. Remember EMU had no running game and we were practically a one dimensional offense. If you also go back to my x factor thread, you can find a link that listed EMU as the number 1 team for dropped passes.
At any rate, let's just see where the draft plays out. I believe Roback gets drafted and it would be great for EMU!!!!
