So we have an athletic director now who has hire standards for our non-revenue sports -- I see nothing wrong with that. Jury is still out on Bohn's hirings as AD, but I think Fickell, Googins, and Clark will all turn out to be solid decisions.

Wow... how far that site has fallen. Very disappointing. I have a hunch that the author of that piece has not actually been to many UC WBB games.

I've been to over 30 games since Jamelle was hired. I guarantee that outside of UConn, UL, OSU, and other local draws like NKU, no one went to those games. Half of the "attendance" came from cheer/dance, pep band, and the game crew/media table.

And why would people want to come? Jamelle continually trotted out a losing product, having only 2 winning seasons in 9 years (and only 1 winning season in conference play).

I think that's a good thing for positioning ourselves as a stable brand/program. If we rely too much on one or two sports, it's incredibly hard to market us as being a positive add for a conference.

Agree. It indicates a healthy overall athletic department.

Seems to be a good hire, I like the energy she had at the press conference.

Official release from UC. Heck of a hire if you ask me.

I like it. WKU is traditionally a very strong women's program, but they had been pretty mediocre the 4 seasons leading up to her arrival. She's also been on the bench as an assistant for a Final Four run and has a reputation as a strong recruiter.
You guys did most cusa coaches a favor getting her out of our league. She recruited damn well at wku. Her teams play defense like your guys did under huggins.
Ole miss came back twice offering more money and you guys still got her away.

She is one hell of a hire

I agree. And as much as I'd prefer an AAC team always advance, I was kind of pleased UCONN crashed last night after their coach's condemnation of UC. I lost a lot of respect for him and frankly his words were so over the top he needs to be reigned in by the school or conference.

I hope that Mike Bohn contacted him about it.
