Nike already does it for Jordan Brand. However, I dont think anyone would confuse the popularity/visibility/recognition of Jordan's logo with Penny's. Jordan Brand is exponentially several levels above the 1 cent stuff.

I'd imagine that in the end we'll still have the swoosh on the front shoulder with the 1 cent logo on the shorts or right under the back color.

No. I hadn't either. But then again, I'm not into $100 "kicks". Unless they are leather and will go with my semi-formal wear.

Penny Nikes go more like $175 to $235 a pop. And Jordans start at about $375 and go up from there.

Neither am I. I had to look it up.

Our kiddos had some Nike air 1/2 cent and Lil' Penny posites. It's a niche, but supposedly the #2 selling signature line...well behind Jordans. I can see why Nike is eager to capitalize. Hopefully, it translates to more money in the next licensing contract.
