I purchase mine a few days ago. Like to see us set a record for football season ticket sales ahead of this season and its favorable schedule and pricing.

RE: EMU Pro Day
I'm buying mine today.

I didn't mention this on here, because Wetherbee was busy enough on Tuesday, but around 3/4:00 I emailed Scott. I told him I respected his transparency, thanked him for dispelling myths about EMU football, and told him to continue to be a leader through this difficult time. I also said I made a small donation earlier in the day and will be buying my season tickets soon.

He emailed me back almost right away. He was sitting in front of his email all day, to reply to and be transparent with anyone who shared their thoughts with him (mostly negative). He thanked me, and said he will personally match my donation and season ticket cost.

I really respected that. Both taking the time to reply, and pledging to match my donation. He isn't doing that for publicity. He said nowhere publicly he's matching donations. Not online, not during the press conference, not anywhere. He's doing it out of respect for us: loyal EMU supporters.

He isn't perfect, but he gained respect from me for that.

As an old proverb once said he who mounts the tiger finds it hard to jump off. EMU athletics is a difficult job and it sounds it was much harder than he rightly or wrongly assumed when he interviewed and got hired. He should look on the bright side, football is on an upswing, men's basketball had a decent season, the women's program has no where to go but up. The building plan needs to be his main focus. Progress slow as it may be but progress all the same. Lets remember than Heather and Gragg had their difficulties some of them compliance related doing their tenure. It is better now than it was then during their tenures. Honestly the move to 17 sports should have been done long ago.

RE: EMU Pro Day
Just got off the phone from ordering my tickets. Good experience.

I got young alumni tickets for a great deal ($50 each), and if you're under 35 you can buy as many of those at $50 as you want. He said potentially next year or later they will also have discounted higher-level packages for young alumni too. I didn't know this but they also have a ticket exchange program, so if you have 2 season tickets but miss Monmouth for example, you can get 2 extra tickets at no cost for another home game.

I asked about 2019 (Kentucky), and he said they have no complete plans yet but are working to make that the best experience possible.

The big thing about Scott is that he is a real persons type of AD. He will work hard to sell the program to all stakeholders be it students, faculty and staff, locals, alums, etc. and encourage them to take ownership too.

In the long run that will pay off.

We need an 8 - 4 season and to be in the running for the trip to Detroit for the MACC.

Nothing sells a program better than success. Just ask Sister Jean and the Loyola team and their stakeholders and fans.

For the first time ever I'll be buying season tickets. Even though I won't make every game, I don't care. Time to put our money where our mouth is.
