Hey mods .. does this board have an ability to ban access to only certain forums. I would think if someone like cold was causing issues with the main board, banning him from all boards except the WSU board would be the ideal way of handling it if the software allowed it.
I appreciated Cold for his candor and his passion. I think he got a raw deal over on ShockerNet. But sometimes he went over the line on ShockerNet and on here.
If somebody posts something stupid or inflammatory I usually roll my eyes and move on. Sometimes I respond, but if it goes back and forth more than a few times I realize I'm probably arguing with a 12 year old or some cross eyed hairy fat guy in his underwear who lives in his mom's basement. At that point, it's just not worth it to me. The only time I've ever reported a post was on ShockerNet when KC Shox said something about wanting one of our players to get injured, which was clearly unacceptable. Anyway, if a discussion devolves into a flame fest between posters who have nothing more valuable to say to each other other than insulting their mom or something, that gets annoying quick. I don't have all day to scroll through pages and pages of immature ****. I have a job and I have a family.
If it's thin skinned to report a post, it's pretty ****ing thin skinned to let some 12 year old boy's internet message board post get to you so much that you feel compelled to engage in a sissy fight. It takes a bigger man to walk away and just let it go. If anyone's precious feelings are getting hurt, it's obviously the insecure pusses who feel obligated to respond to every stupid thing another team's fan says.
I will miss Cold (again). I've met him in person and he's a great guy with an infectious love of the Shockers. I just wish he would have toned it down a little around here. I'm not surprised he got banned, and I wish it didn't have to happen.
I will say this about cold, he dished it out alright, but he also took it too.
FWIW, I had him on ignore mainly since I didn't have time to get sucked into his posts but to be honest, he never messed with me and didn't call me out.
Memphis fans can’t stand someone being critical of the Penny hire. It was not a hire made for the long term success of a program, and there is plenty there to be critical of. Yeah Cold crossed the line, but Pony has been trigger happy on that for a long time.
The blacked out was an explaination to my post that was tagged racist that i was banned for, and has little relevence to the topic other than it involved Cold.

FWIW, I think old-school UCF fans are the ones who have the most experience (pardon the pun) with the Penny hire since we were the ones who had to experience his highs and lows in Orlando.
Lot's of potential there in Memphis with him - as in a lot of potential to return to greatness - as well as a lot of potential to start losing 20 games a year....

Man, this Penny hire and subsequent bandwagon invasion from Memphis has really gotten the dominoes rolling. That takes quite a fanbase to pull that off.

I think the one thing that kind of broke the Camels back was what he said about another posters old lady or something...He did it once and was warned but did it again....I don't know what was said but it was something akin to someone else's wife/GF being ahem, unkempt.....
