I don’t think these decisions are based on one game. I am also thinking it’s time to move on. Life’s to short to care about something out of your control.

Later brother, I "retired" after the Fickell hire. Tonights game was the first UC game I've watched all season, same $hit, new year. I will be bailing for good this time. It just isn't worth the time.

What a bunch of quitters. I bet not a one of you quitters were there in the 80s. Too bad I cannot link the vitamin d deficient thread to show the level of hypocrisy here.

While you guys are taking your ball and going home, I'm gonna take this one just like all the of other ones. I will however as a trend lately last few years continue to make sports a less of my life- but not because of a bad beat. I'll still wear my gear and root for good teams. I remember the Cubs and the Red Sox fan bases going through a curse- they had their day (s). But things are about to get real, so less time for extras. Each year. Bit by bit. I will watch and root next year. Go Cats!

At some point you have to ask, are we cursed or is there more to it? I think dont think anyone can trust Mick going forward. I really hate to pile on the guy because I like him personally, but he just doesnt have that confidence that the great ones have. It really pours down onto our players. Who do we replace him with? No idea, and not sure if they will be better.

RE: Fellas it’s been fun
Obviously a lot of overreacting. Terribly terrible terrible loss that goes imo on the players thinking they won the game. Soft D, stopped running an offense, I don’t put much of this loss on Cronin except he didn’t get his players to play hard the whole game but that’s not really his fault.

I will always support the teams I like and people do need to remember sports are just sports. I value the respectable program Cronin built more than a deep tourney run.

If you can’t root for a team unless they win then so be it probably you should stop watching amateur sports or root for a program that is only about winning like Louisville.

His kid goes to Bama. He started following them. Winning is addictive.

Jeez... I rarely post here anymore but I still follow the team and wear my UC gear. And I'll continue to do so (just not for awhile).

I've stuck by UC through worse. Most of us have. I find it hard to believe that this is what is killing a lot of fanhoods. I strongly considered it when it looked like the football team was going to stick with Tuberville but I never actually came close to throwing in the towel. Mick Cronin may be the Marvin Lewis of basketball but I'll still gladly cheer for UC next year.

A damn shame that some of you are done

I'm done. I've been a fan for a long time.
Most of my wardrobe is red and black but I can't do it anymore.
This loss was just too much to overcome as a fan.
Out.

I'll still be wearing my Red and Black this week. I see no reason not to. UC didn't embarrass me, Mick Cronin did.

That’s when Mick really went off the rails. Good coaching job in first half and then trying to put his prevent o into place.

Strongly disagree. I grew up as an Ohio State fan during the Keith Byers and Chris Carter years. Saw them play in many bowls, but nothing comes near the fun of UC in the Sugar/Orange/Belk/Liberty and others. UC is my alma mater. Coincidently, none of you would be able to make it as a Browns fan. I remember back in middle school the kids that would adopt the current hot Nfl superbowl team as their favorite. Not me, I wore my Greg Pruitt jersey. As a fan this is my way of showing commitment and loyalty. Would it be fun to go back to OSU and support a perennial winner, no.
