RE: 2018 WAC Transfers
Fallou Ndoye will leave CS Bakersfield after 2 seasons as a grad transfer. 3-star from Mississippi State didn't really work out as hoped, but wasn't terrible off the bench either.

Averaged 3.0ppg 2.9rpg in his two seasons at CSUB. Decent defense from what I remember but certainly not what his prior pedigree described him as

RE: 2018 WAC Transfers
Outside of maybe Alessandro Lever, the WAC is now devoid of dominating true centers.

So you really think Lever was dominating? I think Lever is good but no way dominating. No way.

He gave NMSU some trouble last season but did not dominate. However, he did dominate some of the other WAC teams last season.... 28 pts & 8 rebs. @ Chicago State; 24 pts. & 10 rebs @ UMKC; 22 pts. & 8 rebs. @ Utah Valley; 22 pts. & 7 rebs @ UTRGV: 30 pts. & 10 rebs. vs. Seattle: and 23pts. & 8rebs. vs. CSUB. And, in the WAC tourney Lever averaged 21.3 ppg over three games. Keep in mind, we are talking about a freshman. Don't get my wrong, Lever does have some defensive and rebounding deficiencies. But if Lever doesn't leave GCU early (or get injured) and continues to develop, by the time he is Senior going very dominant night in night out.

RE: 2018 WAC Transfers
Collin Huun was a walk on who was 5'7 on a generous day. Played in garbage time to fill in depth. Definitely not a D1 or maybe even D2 player. More NAIA/D3. Was a great teammate as he seemed to energize the bench, though

RE: 2018 WAC Transfers
Cal Baptist picked up a 3-star transfer point guard from Washington State. Milan Acquaah is a 6'3 185-lbs Sophomore (to be) from Los Angeles. He will need to sit out the 2018-19 season. At WSU, he averaged 4.9 ppg and 1.9 apg and started nine games as a freshman.

Milan Acquaah will be able to do some nice things in the WAC but as a freshman looked meh and I blame that on Ernie Kent.

He had a nice game at UCLA last season. He scored 13 points on 5 of 7 shooting and grabbed six rebounds. He played as a sophomore at Chino Hills High School with Lonzo Ball and is a good friend. Seems like a real good pickup for the 2019-2020 season.

Milan Acquaah (Washington State transfer) and Ferron Flavors (Fairfield transfer) should give CBU a pretty stout guard tandem for 2019-20.

Open gyms are not a great indicator (I actually cringe when I hear about them because some guys don't tape), but I did talk to some people about both kids. "Strong and athletic" was the theme. Very necessary for this jump up.

#39 ranked Juco in America Terrell Brown is on campus and is going to be in an Aggie uniform. Pretty impressive recruiting season for Jans, #6 ranked, #10 and now #39 ranked players in Junior College will be playing for NMSU this fall.

DA: Is Jans known to heavily recruit JUCOs or mainly doing this until he can build a rapport with the HS coaches? Either way.. doing a damn fine job.

Well, in this recruiting class Jans has brought in four JUCOs and three freshmen...

Mohamed Thiam, 6'9, 200, JC, PF.... from Dakar, Senegal by way of Iowa JC, #6 in JC Top 100
Ivan Aurrecoechea, 6'8, 240, JC, C... from Madrid, Spain by way of Iowa JC, #10 in JC Top 100
Terrell Brown, 6'3, 170, JC, CG... from Oakland, California, #39 in JC Top 100... CCCAA NorCal Player of the Year.
Clayton Henry, 6'5, 195, JC, SG... from Calgary, Canada by way of Florida JC.
Addison Wallace, 6'4, 200, FROSH, CG... from Cleburne, Texas
Berrick Jeanlouis, 6'5, 180, FROSH, SG/SF... from Lehigh Acres, Florida
William McNair Jr., 6'9, 250. FROSH, PF/C... from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

He started out as a JUCO coach, including winning the JUCO national championship. As a result, he has a lot of contacts in the junior college ranks. It stands to reason that he has been capitalizing on those relationships in recruiting. From what I understand, he is committed to building the program for the long haul. That will probably mean that in the future he depends a little less on the JUCOs, but who knows what will happen with the new NCAA transfer rules.

RE: 2018 WAC Transfers
OK, I am confused... Why would Isaiah Ross choose to leave UMKC to eventually land at Nicholls State (per verbal commits website)? Ross had a good statistical season as a sophomore at UMKC. He was their 2nd leading scorer at 11.3 ppg. I just don't see how going to Nicholls State is an improvement on his basketball career. He should have stayed put at UMKC.
