Gotta admit, sorta jealous watching UMBC and Loyola Chicago. Good athletes, clutch players and plays, rebound like crazy on both ends of the floor. Have some beef on the blocks. Plays with confidence against the big guys. Just once, I would love for Toledo to go on a run like that or have a deep team like Buffalo. We have and have had some great players, but just not enough. #38years,sigh.

Our luck we get to the NCAA tournament, lose by 30 to another mid major school having a great year, and then have to wait another 38 years to go back...

eh eh eh, glass half to more full only please. New board rule apparently.
If we get into the tournament and lose by 30 to another mid major, that means a mid-major had been ranked 1st!!! (or second) Progress.

I also saw a lot of players on a number of teams in the parts of games I watched since the start of March Madness.
There is mediocrity - but I think it is more on the coaching side. Not advocating that K be fired, because he should not be. However, he has to shore up his weak areas with assistants that will take charge and coach the fundamentals of the defensive scheme they want to play. All of the small schools playing in March Madness that caused a stir in the media played sound defense with quickness and tenacity. We certainly do not have that.

Agree 100%. The UMBC vs K-state game didn't make it to 50 pts for either team. Both teams were defensive pests. It was fun to watch. We have nowhere near the defensive intensity of UMBC.

There was a lot of bad offense in that game. Wide open shots missed, bad passing and plenty of over dribbling. There was some decent defense, but the putrid offenses is the reason for the low score.
