Hahaha... Doubt the Whip wants any part of it now.

I enjoyed watching the Shockers this year. I not only believe you made this conference stronger from an rpi stand point but that you also forced many teams to elevate their play night in and night out. Upsets happen in the tournament. Frankly UH was rather lucky to survive its game last night. With that said, I wish you guys the best of luck in the offseason, and can't wait to see what yall bring to the table next year. Great first season Shockers!

Great opening thread. I'll cast my vote with the Shockers. Even their over-enthusiastic ones. Good first season.

The best part about having Wichita State ? The bitching of Illinois State coach Dan Muller, which sounds like sour grapes from a jilted lover. Screw him that cry baby. Maybe next time don't blow a 20 point lead at home to my UCF Knights.

I disagree with those who say Wichita had a good season

Is like me saying Houston while finishing 8 - 4 had a good football season and later losing it's crappy bowl game.

C'mon people let's get real here... My

For a first year in an upgraded conference, yeah I'd say they did OK. Right now I would trade with them.

And Houston.

Yes. But WSU’s second string could beat most of them.

I like having WSU in the league, but some of their mouthy fans deserve to eat some **** when they've talked smack and their team goes out in the first round. Get used to it, or stop talking smack....or win...

I enjoy good natured banter with rival fans, but I got no pleasure seeing WSU fall because it harms a bit the AAC’s image and profile.

I want success for all AAC schools and we need all AAC teams to pull their weight- especially UConn and Memphis.

I remember first night of the season Wichita fans here claiming they were virtually unbeatable because they beat some no name team by 50...

B/c Houston and Memphis has a football rivalry going here hope yall's basketball revives so the Houston n Memphis rivalry can become even more heated.

The infrastructure exists at Memphis for success. The primary missing variable - which I hope is rectified soon - is hiring the right coach willing and able to reel in high quality recruits.

How the heck could this happen? I thought Wichita was supposed to play in the final four this season. Ah...that's right. Basketball has a real championship unlike college football. Talk will not get you to the championship game like with the P5 football conferences. Good season Wichita. Maybe next season. 04-cheers

WSU's previous success led to sky-high expectations that they did not meet. They still produced a good season. Any year you make the NCAA tournament, I say that is a successful year, no matter who you are.

And they bolstered the quality of our league, I'm very happy about that.

I went to Wichita to attend UH's first round win over SDSU. Had a great time and really enjoyed the Wichita people I met. I wish our fanbase was as knowledgeable and passionate about our program.

But they only produced 1 credit...

Instead of receiving a $50 Red Lobster gift card as their share of the next TV contract, they will now be receiving a $5 coupon to Long John Silver's.

Very true. Memphis has way too many. They aggravate me to the point I don't post on our board here.

But I've been on this board in its various forms for 10 years now, back when the old Big East was still in tact. With the exception of WVU fans, I don't recall any other fan base who has such a high percentage of trolls, arrogant dudes, and excuse makers actually posting here. Especially from a school just entering a new conference.

I realize it's a tiny fraction of the Wichita fan base, but it's all we have to go on.

I feel a lot better about all the schools in our league after not interacting with their most obnoxious fans on this forum, honestly.
