Caleb Martin had his picture in the Blade taking reps. He must still be on the team and under consideration. At this stage, the QB starter is mere speculation.

As far as TE's moving to LB, I was thinking if it was anyone making that change it would have been Gilliam. That guy hits harder than anyone else on the kick-off teams and on defense for the punts when he rushes the kicker and lays a lick on the guy in the backfield trying to block him. I've seen him flatten that blocker on at least 3 different occasions last year. He almost knocked the guy back into the kicker one of those times. Listed as 6'0 and 235. Not real big for a TE and is used mostly for blocking.

He should be at LB. I think he has NFL potential at LB if he is fast enough to be a tight end at that size and must also be able to catch - and therefore intercept passes.

Also good to see Peters is in the battle for QB. I have made comments in the past about him looking uninterested on the sideline and not having enough size. Hopefully he as been putting time in at the weight room to get stronger. Should have a strong arm. Good thing is we may be able to run the QB more with having 2 guys considered to be equal at this point. Guadagni looked pretty darn fast in his limited play so far at QB. The fact that Peters never got in a game last year - is that because he was redshirting or had to sit out because of the transfer rules.?

I believe Peters had to sit out this past season due to transfer rules. Sophomore eligibility for both of the Qbs, right?

Guadagni is a Junior. Peters and Martin sophomores. Reese is a senior.
