Treys are almost always the story when David beat Goliath (or fails to do so).

Treys beat 'Zona but weren't there to beat Kentucky.

3's are a factor but sometimes its also a poor game plan like UVA's for UMBC which allows a team to be in it.

Buffalo played straight up against UK's "A game" for all but the last 5 minutes. I felt like the game was over when it was UK 10-7 with how hard it was for Buffalo just to survive the opening few minutes. Kentucky never lost control of the game. To the fact that Buffalo had a real chance late provided a few more shots started falling is nothing to be ashamed about.

It hurts to think about how far UB could've gone if they would've beaten Kentucky.

Next round they probably would've been favored no matter who won between Kansas State and UMBC. And they had a good shot against any of the teams left in the bottom half of the bracket.

Great year nonetheless. Can't wait til next season.
