I went to their Sat/Sun games against CSF. They actually should have won that series (choked on Saturday) but I don't think they are very good. Greenies lost a bunch from a 2017 team that was mediocre.

They screwed up their hire in 2016, IMO. Jewett came in there and started doing things like banning music in the locker room and taking away the team ping pong table. Very Ellis Johnson like. I predict that Cannizaro will be back in Uptown by 2020 coaching the Wave.

Most of those late 90s and early 00s Tulane teams looked ‘roided out as hell.

Baseball side note: since losing 9-4 to us on 3/2, Eastern Michigan has won 5 out of their last 7 including wins over Ohio State and a series win AT Okie State. Not too shabby.

Though the most heated I saw was in 2011. Wind was blowing out at about 15 mph. Tulane won something like 15-14. Koelling blasted one out off their closer (drawing a blank on the name. He also was a good hitter). He and the pitcher were yelling at each other the whole way around the bases. Looked like the benches were going to clear.

I was at that game. Crazy game.

One of the hardest hit balls I've ever seen when some Tulane player absolutely smoked one to dead center off Collin Cargill. Thing had to have gone 420 feet minimum.
