Bucs came out and took care of business today. Have to really be hitting on all cylinders to have a chance Wednesday though.

RE: Official Game Thread: Milligan
I was impressed by the degree of "taking care of business". They didn't allow very much laxity to creep into their efforts. Hard to tell how that translates to Baton Rouge -- but they seemed fully ready to play this game and stayed that way throughout.

RE: Official Game Thread: Milligan
Coach Forbes was on the radio this morning :
-When asked about the game against Milligan, Coach said that he was generally pleased. He felt that the practices leading up to that game had been good. He said that he felt that the team competed for 40 minutes which hadn't always been the case regardless of the opponent. He thinks that there are still areas that need improvement and the team has a ways to go in order to be the team they want to be. He mentioned that they need to get Good and Williamson going offensively but thought that would come around eventually.
-He compared the play Sunday to the loss at ND citing the number of turnovers up north and his feeling that players were guarding too closely on defense and not being in the gaps. He said that he has told them constantly that if you can't guard a player for more than 2 dribbles then you can't play at this level.
-When asked about Boyd, Forbes offered that he is playing with a lot of confidence right now. The coaching staff is constantly encouraging him to become a more compete player and that he has work to do to become that. He said that he is pleased by how he verbally communicates with his teammates, especially during practice and when things aren't going well.
-When asked about Wofford's win at UNCCH and UNCG's close loss to NCSU, Forbes said that he had called Coach Miller after their game and tried to encourage him. He thinks that, of course, games like that help all teams in the SOCON and make a difference in the polls and in general regard among commentators when they start playing each other in conference which could translate into tournament consideration post season, one way or the other[/i].
-When asked about LSU, Coach said that they have a nice team who he thinks should be ranked higher than they are. He made note of how long their guards are and how strong and athletic the team is especially inside. LSU presses after free throws and made baskets and often plays zone defense, he said.
-When asked what he thought the crowd size and interest would be at LSU, Forbes said that, of course, it wouldn't match the crowd at Kansas and as with a lot of SEC schools with football still going on their interest might be elsewhere unless the university made some sort of show of honoring the football team or Joe Burrow at half time, then all bets were off.
