a deep nit runs tend to bring momentum into the following year ...smu 3 years ago, tcu last year, ad partially ucf last year

temple returns enough good pieces that a deep run will push momentum for them into next yeear

Both teams can be very good when on and very bad when not on. PSU did beat Ohio State 3 times this year, including blowing them out one time. It's hard to beat any team 3 times in a year, no less one that is fairly highly rated. Tough game for Temple. Hopefully it picks them up for a victory!

This actually has potential to be an entertaining game. That will depend on which Temple team shows up: the one that starts in a 24-2 hole like at Tulsa or the one that has fought hard and played close with Wichita through 3 games. Beating psu is always special of course. Knocking out a B10 school is good for the American. Also if we win, it’s been pointed out that we would most likely play Notre Dame, so a semi-repeat of our 2015 football season.

The media think he's a great guy but the reality is one tournament in the last five years and two wins total in 10+ at Temple. So no, Temple fans hope his ass is burning right about now.

This is obviously a significant game even if I'm not optimistic about your chances of winning.

It's significant in that if Dunphy loses, the administration won't be able to point to a deep NIT run to keep him on one more year. The best possible outcome would be to get slaughtered and announce his firing the next day.

Exactly. Temple can be a fun team to watch or a turn-the-channel-type of game. I know PSU is a big rival so hope y'all light em up!
