time to do our part?
We are "draining the tub" as many wanted. We're at (hopefully) the bottom of a 4-year decline. Boosters and Admin saw it and rapidly reacted - giving the majority what they wanted. Now, we're on the cusp of hiring the most popular option available.
With the success in other athletic department areas, now is the time for us fans to step back up. When the Penny announcement comes, we need to place our orders for tickets. No more holding out to see how it plays out. No more waiting to see if we can get freebies. No more petty stuff about the candidate you wanted not getting hired. Show recruits and Admin how much we can support.
I try not tell fans how to spend their money. But this is important. If we're the fans we profess to be, and if this means as much to you as the message board postings indicate, get the ticket sales back up. We are working on solutions now, so be part of it.
Oh, and renew football this week, too - to keep that train moving in the right direction.

doubtful, we are still a walk up crowd. 18k aren't showing up to watch us play Austin Peay on a December Tuesday just because Penny is sitting on the bench.

Will be interesting to see the results.
We have kept our six the entire time.
Some turnover around us and a lot more nasty.
Wonder how quickly they will be nasty in our first game next year when a kid fails to get a rebound. It will be less obvious though with more fans around, those scumbags will be less noticeable.

I have never been to any Football or Basketball game to watch a coach. I have never seen a football coach score a TD or a basketball coach score a point. If that is the reason some fans will start going to the games I'll take it but that is pretty insane.
