Exclamation Lynch done in Denver?
Signing Case Keenum may signal the end for Paxton Lynch in Denver.

Quote:Elway has left open the possibility that Lynch could be the team's backup if he's ready to work on his game, but in the end, even one of Elway's most notable first-round picks couldn't avoid the team's current mission.

RE: Lynch done in Denver?
Who knows what will happen with Paxton, but I doubt Case is the long-term solution for the Broncos. What they do in the draft will be telling. They might be better next year, but we're likely gonna find out that their O line still stinks and their skill position players are just OK. I'm not sure what would be best for PL (to stay or to get a chance at revival elsewhere).

If he can't catch on somewhere else, Lynch would kill it in Canada.

"if he's ready to work on his game" is pretty telling.

Agreed. I don't think Elway considers playing Madden 2017 to be an effective way to work on one's game.

With a $5,000,000 signing bonus, the Broncos have a big investment in Paxton. He will probably stay in Denver as a great backup.

No matter what, I wish him well. Hopefully he is recovered from his injuries.

He's not hurting financially, however. https://www.bing.com/search?q=paxton+lyn...sp=6&ghc=1

RE: Lynch done in Denver?
From what I've seen, Siemian is going to be traded and Paxton and Chad Kelly will be retained. They will probably battle it out for the #2 spot in training camp. Very possible one is released or sent to the practice squad. Elway has said that he isn't going to handhold any player and it was a direct reference to Lynch and his poor work ethic. I chalk it up to his maturity level.

I have no doubt that Keenum will revert back to his previous self. QBs don't play in the NFL for as many years as he has and suddenly become world beaters. Probably more of a fluke season last year than anything. If he struggles as the starter then I doubt they wait to go to the #2 like they did last year. People here seem to think Chad Kelly is the next Elway but they say that about every unproven QB on the roster.

Lynch isn’t going to make it in the NFL as a starter

Lynch would fare better in a RPO styled offense... like in Philly.

Or Tennessee behind Marcus Mariota.

Best job in the world would be backup QB for LA Rams or Chargers

But I think Paxton could start in the right situation.

Lynch was drafted due to his physical attributes. He had holes in his game while he was here and has done little to fill those holes.
