Tell 'em we'd be glad to schedule them next year so they can teach us a lesson. We'll pay 'em 80k to come on up to Koch Arena and take a spin on the buy-game-o-fortune. If the final margin is less than 20 points they will have earned our respect... and some nice coin to pay for the bus trip home. 03-2thumbsup

If you think we only have one three point shooter, then you could be in for a surprise. And Penava is a shot blocking threat as well.

That being said, I think you'll win, but I think it'll be closer than expected...and then again, perhaps not. That's why they call it March Madness.

I just wanted to stop in and say good luck and hope it's a fun game. And if you do win, I can't be too upset, being that Greg Marshall was a Marshall University assistant coach.

There is ONE player on Marshall that is shooting above 37% from 3 on the year. Not saying you can't win .. but ... gonna take an abnormal game from multiple people to do it.

Virginia loses their 6th man for the tourney. Helps out Cincy if they make it to the Elite 8

RE: AAC NCAA tourney match ups
im soo nervous about the game

ive listened to 5 interviews with sampson..all of them have been why its okay to lose..
- the hard part was getting to the tourney
- we are top 35 team just to make as an atlarge, thats an accomplishment
- seeding after the 2 seed is meaningless, at that point its about match ups
- they are tall not a good match up for us
- they demolished a top 25 nevada
- this is a successful season if it ended tomorrow
- all but 1 team losses their last game
(says nothing about our chances to win)

i get what he is doing, he is trying to not lose any fan/attendance momentum, regardless of what happens. he is trying to set the stage for next year.

which is made obvious by him hyping next years team in all those interviews talking about our returning payers alone would be elite but he is also adding his best recruiting class ..

but no one wants to hear about next years team 2 days before our best chance to win a tournament game in 35 years

sdsu is tall but not that tall. wake had 3 7footers and we out rebounded them
they beat nevada but nevada plays all guards, and one of their best players was injured..

wish he had said something positive, now im nervous.

Houston fans please grow a pair! Take after Rob Gray, brash, tough and determined! I have told you many times, the MW is not a good conference, for some reason they are overhyped come March, yet typically do not get past game one. Houston by 10.

I know exactly how to feel. I think we're gonna slap SDSU silly.

Don't be nervous. Coach speak and Sampson knows better than to give any locker room material.

Just have fun. Win or lose it goes by quick. Soak it up. Don't worry about things you can't control. And don't get caught up in anything negative like people picking the upset.

Plenty people picking Marshall over WSU. Instead I just focus on all the reasons we should win.

While you guys are the better seed. Anything can happen. But for your team anything from here on should just be icing on the cake in terms of expectations. Next year you try and build on this year and just keep it rolling.

Very few people predicted Houston to make the Tourney at the beginning of the year. So you are playing with house money. Just enjoy the ride.
