I would imagine Marshall, Western Kentucky and ODU are the 3 left from CUSA still to be listed in the Madness Poll. . In what order at this time, it is really a coin flip. Especially if Dajour Dickens is given a waiver to play and he develops really fast this year.

The Madness's poll probably did not even factor his transfer into their rankings. UTSA is listed as #4 in the league and I don't believe ODU would be ranked below them. The other school that may be in the mix is Middle Tennessee. If they took into consideration the mass exodus, there is no chance MTSU is on the poll.

Yes, but we if we can take those two at home, we should be sitting pretty until the flex schedule begins.

I'm assuming that the 1/9 and 1/11 games should actually be 1/10 and 1/12, but I'm just copying the spreadsheet for now.

Yup. Also, I got so used to us playing Thursday/Saturday that it's really odd to see Charlotte scheduled for Monday night and not be accompanied with an open date.

It's MLK day and I believe everyone is playing that date.

I remember when we used to complain about the CAA's 4 in 8 days. This is worse.

From what I've seen so far, UTEP, LT and UNT have that date off.

ODU will host Fairfield on Dec. 9.

Also, since apparently every damned team on Earth is playing them except ODU, Virginia draws Middle Tennessee in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis, per a Jon Rothstein tweet.

Is it safe to make the assumption that we won't play UVA with the current administration? Wonder if we can make up with VT and get that going again.

I think the Governor's Classic has a bigger impact than anything else.

But didn't Traveon Graham send them home by splashing a three right in the teeth of their student section as the clock went to zero in JPJ? Looks like UVA didn't mind coming back for more after that heartbreak.

Either way, I don't think it is a big deal at all. ODU should be calling for many non-VA ACC, B1G and Big East games as they can and I wouldn't even phone UVA or VT once they have said they don't want to come to Norfolk in the past. Let em play Liberty, Radford and UNCG. It's amazing how much more attractive the Ted will look to them after they see Wake, NCSU, Xavier, Rutgers, Georgetown, Maryland, and even Pitt possibly coming in there filling up the building. And yes, the way he recruits, I'd even call Huggins for a five year 3 for 2. Wouldn't hesitate.

Keep calling them all and somebody's going to bite. It worked for football in a bad stadium and should be easier for hoops in a top-two state arena.

Doubt it. Do you know the history of JJ and his firing at UVA? I just don't see them playing us while JJ is the coach. Not in a mutually scheduled game. Would LOVE to be wrong, though.

I do. But that AD has had a complete turnover since then. I'd think losing to the worst ODU team ever would have a bigger impact on scheduling us.

And I don't think they will schedule us until Tony's gone. Unless we hire one of his assistants.
