Not a bad schedule so far depending on what we get in St. Thomas. Would like to see one more P5 or good mid-major.

home opener is Navy

Nice. Really looking forward to seeing how ODU's two 7-footers match up with David Robins ...

...

... wait, really?

...

... doesn't he have another season?

...

... no?

...

Oh, then I guess this is a tomato-can game. You're sure about Robinson?

...

... he's in the Hall of Fame? Really? Well where the hell have I been?

I think there's also a non-bracketed game against a Paradise Jam participant. Kansas State and Kennesaw State are playing Nov. 9, so presuming it's an opponent from the other half of the bracket, it would be Northern Iowa, Eastern Kentucky or Penn.

Traditionally Paradise Jam teams usually don't take the 4th game, so I wouldn't be surprised if we don't. However, I would enjoy a game at Penn tied with the St. Joes game (I can take SEPTA in to the Palestra)

I vaguely remember something about a year gap in that series because of how late it was scheduled.

RE: 2018-2019 MBB Schedule
I would love a game with Navy for a number of reasons.
1. Any game with a military academy should be a good draw.
2.Long term, if we schedule Navy in more sports, consistently, this could help develop more military attendance at other games, gotta get them in the seats first.
3. Can't help but strengthen ties to the AAC

Any game with Navy, in any sport, is a natural for this area.

I agree with what you are saying but Navy only plays football in the AAC.

Yes. They are in the Patriot league for everything else.

Is there a date for the Navy game?

As far as RPI goes, we have Navy, Morgan St., and JMU. That's fine. We need few cupcakes.

Let's just make sure that we don't have any more than these.

If we're playing them, I like the Navy game and don't a durn what their RPI was last year. It's a good game for us, for reasons enumerated above.

Yes, it is better than every MEAC school that still plays D1.

(Savannah State was 2 spots higher but they are dropping down to D3)

I like the Navy game. Sure, it's not the best competition, but there is such a heavy Navy presence in the area that it's a no brainier.

This years schedule is shaping up to be substantially better than last. Combined with the change is scheduling in-conference, we could have a shot at a pretty high ranking this year, assuming f course we win some of these games.

Was thinking the same thing. Kind of got a similar feel as those 2009 schedules and teams and I hope my feeling is right. Time to put a banner up.

Posted from mobile device. Hopefully it's coherent.

I really like the way this schedule is shaping up. Kudos to the coaches/admin for addressing that issue.
